#WeAreOne

Hum Ek Hain (we are one ) is an effort to capture the zeitgeist of a divisive time. During December of 2019 protests started in various cities in India about CAA-NRC act. The act discriminated citizenship to refugees based on religion, particularity excluding Muslims.
This project came out from my anxiety of living as a minority in the country. The tremendous support of people during the protests made me feel like I have a voice. This project came out from an effort to capture this.
It's a mosaic made from thousands of protest pictures from all over the country. The image is an iconic picture of three girls from Jamia. The audience can make a post with #humekhain (#weareone) and see there post becoming part of the mosaic in realtime. It showcased at the Protest Fest in Bangalore.
